Not only were Bangor celebrating St Davids Day on March 1st but also their 12th Birthday - pictured is the cake which was made at the shop as a combined effort by all the staff - Aga Shop Bangor established, St Davids Day March 1st 1996, the first true Aga Shop in Wales. Centred in the “Dinas Dysgu” or translated “City of Learning”. Bangor is a busy University City the last town before the beautiful holiday Isle of Anglesey. The Aga shop is located in the High Street, next door to Debenhams and lives in the shadow of the magnificent Cathedral. Off the A55 just follow the signs for the Cathedral and you will not miss us.
In the Showroom we have many appliances to see, including the very popular new gas 3 oven option in dark blue, the glitzy “2000” black and chrome edition, our warm friend the live Classic 4 oven gas with all its retro appeal, and memory evoker. Also a live Rayburn 480AG in pewter, but perhaps the appliance that truly draws the eye is the jolly Claret Aga in our window, giving a warm welcoming appeal as you look in.
Four ladies in the Bangor Team all waiting to welcome you into the Showroom they have a wealth of Aga experience as Angela, Vicky and Jane are all Aga owners and the last member of the team Rachael is also catching the Aga bug. Angela - Showroom Manager started to work for Aga as the doors opened in 1996. An Aga owner herself she loves to cook and eat of course – what an ideal job. Before Aga she ran her own Fast Food business and has always worked within the retail industry.

Vicky joined the team in January 2004, she moved from Leicester into North Wales and had to leave her gas Aga behind. Having ordered her new Aga at Bangor she then demanded that it be installed “Yesterday” . Since that day all quick sales are now known as “Vicky Sales”. Vicky is a great extoller of the Aga and also loves to cook.
Jane joined the Team last Summer had always been promised an Aga and finally achieved her dream also last year. Jane loves to bake, so much so that we held a sponsored Bakeathon for Children in Need last November. We raised a total of £675 through asking customers to guess how many chocolate chip cookies Jane could bake in 2 hours in a 4 oven Aga – the answer was 605 cookies. Jane is another true extoller of the Aga.
Last but never least Rachel the youngest member of our Team joined us in August of last year 2006. Rachel has proved herself to be another asset to the Showroom with her confidence, enthusiasm and everlasting smile. Rachel is very keen to learn about cooking on the Aga and most Saturdays you will find her trying new recipes at the Showroom.

Following the photo shoot the girls were fed a hearty Aga cooked breakfast of Sausage Bacon and pancakes plus lots of other goodies.
