We have a fantastic display of Aga and Rayburn cookers and cookware and the store hosts regular Demonstrations on all aspects of Aga cooking. They start with the ‘A Day in the Life of an Aga’ which outlines the techniques all Aga owners need to get them started. If you have a favourite dish and you want to know how to cook it on the Aga come along to a Demonstration and you will find it easier than you ever thought possible. We also do specialised Demonstrations, so please see below for details of forthcoming events. Spaces, though, are limited so it is worth booking early to ensure your place.

A day in the life of an Aga - The Beginners introduction

We regularly hold these demonstrations to show new and potential Aga owners just what can be accomplished on one of our cookers. In 90 minutes, long term Aga demonstrator and owner, David Pengelly, goes through the basics of Aga Cooking. Grilling, roasting, stir frying, steaming, toasting, puddings and meringues. Come and see how easy it is to adapt any cookery style to the Aga cooker but book in advance as 'Day in the Life' demonstrations fill up very quickly.

Demonstrations are held regularly throughout the year with 3 done each month on average. Keep looking at the Aga website for further information which will include upcoming events.

DO YOU RECYCLE YOUR USED INK CARTRIDGES?. If not bring them into the Aga Shop Truro and we can send them off to help provide more guide dogs and assist mobility servives for blind and partially sighted people throughout the UK. For every inkjet cartridge donated the £1 raised will feed a guide dog puppy for a day. For every 10 inkjet cartridges donated the money raised will support a guide dog partnership for a day. As such we need those cartridges that would normally be thrown away to really make a difference.

Handy Hint of the week

For a 2 Oven Aga place the grid shelf on the floor of the roasting oven and place acold shelf on the 3rd set of runners. Switch the cakes from front to back half way through cooking.
