Edinburgh Fringe Festival
AGA & THE EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL

The AGA Shop Edinburgh are delighted to be involved in this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival - the biggest arts festival in the world which began on 5th August. Our shop has been chosen to be one of the more unusual venues for the festival and we will play host to:

At Home with Mrs Moneypenny
Dates:
Thurs 5th Aug - Sun 29th Aug
(12:30pm to 13:30pm
Tuesday to Saturday, with an additional show at 16:30pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays)

A first for The AGA Shop Edinburgh, as a venue on The Edinburgh Festival fringe has so far proved a sell-out.  Mrs Moneypenny is attracting the crowds with her tales of banking, business and cost centres one, two and three (namely her children).  The world of a working mother who divulges one of her secrets is to out source.  Hence her hospitality and entertaining are carried out by the AGA in the shop rather than the one in her real home.

To put on a show of this importance there has been much background activity - Helen and her team, Rachel, Sheila and Joanna, have redecorated.  Where before there were pigeon messages there is now a courtyard to be proud of; painted by Helen and landscaped by award-winning Hopetoun Garden Centre.  A fine view for the audience whilst waiting for Mrs Moneypenny to finish her emails.  The kitchen gleams and the shop sparkles.  Supporting the shop in their activities was their Divisional Sales Manager, Alan Davis, who also multi-tasked as a scene builder by creating a 'theatre window' showcasing the AGA, in the left hand window of the shop.

The very first show was full to capacity, (as they have been since) and the audience included Sarah Brown, who tweeted she had been to see Mrs Moneypenny at The AGA Shop in Edinburgh.  Everyone said they had enjoyed the show, laughed a lot and loved the AGA-cooked food.

Entertaining 45 people once a day Tuesday to Thursday and twice a day Friday to Sunday means 1,350 meringues, 30 large cakes and pizzas plus blinis using 4kg of Loch Fyne whisky marinated smoked salmon over the month of August.  Seen here with preparations well in hand are Dawn and Sheila.

After the show the audience depart the Moneypenny kitchen (Demonstration room) up the stairs into the shop where they are given a copy of that most coveted publication 'Interesting Times' published by Juno Enterprises especially for the show with a free copies of The FT and AGA Living magazine also available.  Staff are ready to promote the AGA and cookshop items.

PROMOTIONS
The price of the 2 and 4 oven oil and gas AGA cookers with conventional flue has also been revised and with prices starting from £5995 including VAT, delivery and installation to a prepared site, there has never been a better time to buy your first AGA, or indeed to update an old one!

AGA AUTHENTIC UPGRADE PROGRAMME
AGA offer three exciting opportunities for AGA owners to upgrade their existing AGA:

RE-INVENT allows you to add the innovative AGA Intelligent Management System (AIMS) to your cooker so that it is only a full temperature when you need to be. At other times it will be in ‘low’ or ‘slumber’ mode, reducing the heat output into the kitchen and conserving fuel!

RESTORE allows to to upgrade the exterior of your AGA to make it look like new! We can change the domes, the black top or you can change the colour to suit your décor

RENEW allows you to trade in your existing AGA against a new model. Your existing AGA will be recycled and will form part of a new one. Indeed, over 70% of an AGA comes from recycled material.
