Fuel Conversions

Each Aga is individually designed and dedicated to obtain the maximum performance from its particular fuel source, with many of the major internal components varying considerably from model to model to achieve this.

Consequently, to change from one fuel source to another is not just a case of switching or substituting a burner but usually involves a considerable degree of rebuilding which is rarely cost affective. For this reason Aga-Rayburn do not promote this type of work or supply fuel conversion packages.

Attempts to convert a solid fuel Aga to Oil or Gas firing using ‘ad-hoc’ parts could raise safety issues and current legislation does not permit ‘unapproved’ gas burners or controls to be used.
