The Aga Shop celebrates its passion for fresh local ingredients with their local food producers
The Aga Local Life campaign went down a storm at the Telford Shop, with the event launching in the area on the 27th September. We had no shortage of top local produce, with everything from meats to fish and even nut roasts making an appearance in our store.
A market atmosphere buzzed in and around our store, with a number of producers setting up attractive stalls outside our shop. Various displays of fresh local produce made a welcoming sight inside.
An exciting list of cooking activities created much attention. Aga magazine food editor, Dawn Roads, demonstrated a number of mouth-watering dishes using all our suppliers’ ingredients into her menu. Our popular guest slots included: Fiona Asson from Fish in a Box (with an excellent discussion and demo on sustainable, native British fish worth eating now!) and the young, promising talent of Louis Barnett – founder and owner of chocolate company Chokolit (just 16 years old and fast becoming a choc-master sensation).
Our 350 visitors all thoroughly enjoyed the event and found the opportunity of discovering more about their local producers (and eating their scrumptious food!) a very rewarding one!
