The Aga Shop celebrates its passion for fresh local ingredients with their local food producers
The Local Life campaign became a hand on affair at the Aga shop in Kendal. Thanks to Stewart, from Kitridding Farm Shop, many of our visitors got to make their own delicious sausages from scratch - and everyone agreed it was a rewarding (and once cooked, delicious) thing to do!
Our Aga Demonstrator, Margaret Anderson, was a whizz in our kitchen - cooking an assortment of tasty dishes throughout the day. And of course, we made sure that our dishes used the best local ingredients, from our local food heroes. Some of the favourites were scrummy plain and cheese scones -served with a generous dollop of apricot chutney and raspberry jam from local producer, Sue Prickett. Kitridding Farm shop supplied us with plenty of top quality meat products including succulent pork; pork and blue stilton sausages and black pudding (once again Sue Prickett's chutneys proved to be the perfect accompaniment!).
