The Aga Shop celebrates its passion for fresh local ingredients with their local food producers
Delicious local foods were the centre of attraction at the Local Life event in Harrogate. With an extensive list of top quality producers, the Aga shop was the place to go in order to experience the best in local food.
Visitors were treated to exceptional food, as a chef from the local, luxurious Hotel Du Vin and Aga cookery Doctor, Richard
Maggs, prepared a variety of decadant dishes on our Aga. Delicious canapes were created by Hotel Du Vin, while their knowledgable Sommelier spent time with our customers, discussing wine and explaining his services.
Richard Maggs proved to be a wealth of Aga information and effortlessly cooked up treats such as quiche, meringues, pizza and an apricot roulade. Ingredients including; Yorkshire Blue from Shepherds Purse Cheeses, meats from Ian Paxton and fresh vegetables and fruits from The Organic Pantry were all readily used in the Aga demonstration.
All our local producers provided tasty samples for customers during the event and eagerly discussed the benefits of their produce. The well known Taylor's of Harrogate kept our guests refreshed with their selection of teas and coffee while toffees, rapeseed oils, tarts, dressings and spring water were readily available to sample.
The event as was thoroughly enjoyed by guests, producers and staff alike! And judging by the compliments and crowds we had, our local producers have definately been put on the map!
