The Aga Shop celebrates its passion for fresh local ingredients with their local food producers
The Aga shop Nantwich was buzzing with activity as the Aga Local life campaign launched in the area. Delicious tastings, Aga cooking, kiddies activities and talks by producers kept our customers busy throughout the day.
Aga demonstrator Trish Dunbar had a huge tasks of cooking for over 150 visitors. However she, and our trusty Aga, worked wonders and had no problem bringing out dish after delicious dish. Local bakers, J Hulse, chatted to customers about the history of the bakery (dating back to 1890) while flavoured gin producers, My Gineration held an interesting discussion about flavours and fruit picking.
And while the adults were busy learning more about their local producers, the kids got stuck in with a colouring-in and a cake decorating competition. Their creative efforts were rewarded with a scrummy slice of cake - which they wasted no time in trying out.
We extend our thanks to Hulse Bakers and My Gineration for all their efforts and enthusiasm on the day and also thank Roots of the Earth for their colourful fresh fruit and veg display.
