The Aga Shop celebrates its passion for fresh local ingredients with their local food producers
Our shop was buzzing with activity on the 20th September, when the Aga Local Life campaign launched in Helensburgh. The event concentrated on promoting the variety of fresh, top notch foods that our local producers have to offer!
Demonstrator, Gill Fish, created some culinary delights to keep our customers well fed and entertained. Gill had a fantastic assortment of prime ingredients to use in her dishes, which proved to be a great source of cooking inspiration. Delectable fillet of beef, free-range chicken and gammon was supplied to us by local butcher, Callaghans of Helensburgh. Our nearby greengrocer, Elliot and Sons, supplied plums, beautiful ripe tomatoes and a variety of fantastic vegetables (which were used to make a tasty Scotch Broth). They also gave us a superb basket of fruit and vegetables. This created a colourful, much talked-about, display piece in our shop.
