The Aga Shop celebrates its passion for fresh local ingredients with their local food producers
Our local life event may have been mid-week, but that did not stop our customers from finding the time to pop in and see, taste and experience great locally sourced produce.
Aga demonstrator, Marcia Poole entertained our audience with a tasty and energetic Aga demonstration. Using a great selection of produce from our 'Local Food Heroes', Marcia cooked up delicious dishes inculding a golden based cheese and onion quiche, succulent leg of lamb, fresh bread, meringes (drizzzled in indulgent chocolate) and a delightful dish of chicken breasts with spicy chocolate rub.
All of the dishes were packed with an extra flavoursome punch - due to the high quality of our supplied ingredients! Clive's Organics provided fresh, organic fruit and vegetables, while choice cut meats, home made sausages, free-range eggs and dry cured bacon came from Fulmerfields Farm. An additional treat came in the form of an award-winning, ethically sourced, West African chocolate powder- courtesy of Mortimer Chocolate.
