The Aga Shop celebrates its passion for fresh local ingredients with their local food producers

Delicious, locally produced foods were the celebrated topic at the Aga shop Inverness on the 8th September. The Local Life campaign proved to be a calender highlight, as the Inverness showroom saw over 80 customers visit the store, in order to meet their local food producers and see an Aga in action.

Aga demonstrator, Susan McGinty, used a selection of fine local ingredients to cook up scrumpious dishes on our Aga - many with a Scottish theme and flavour. All the succulent meats use on the day were supplied by A&I Butchers and included fillet steak, haggis and black pudding. Creamy cheese was supplied by local provider, Crown Deli, while fresh fish was sourced from nearby fishmonger, Duncan Frasers.

Susan rustled up an inspiring menu which included; mini black pudding and smoked haddock crostades, haggis fritters with a sour cream and whiskey sauce, butternut soup and a goats cheese and leek quiche. Every dish was a taste sensation! The food on offer from our partner producers was of the highest quality, and we look forward to working more closely with them in our future events.

Our local life event proved to be a huge hit with our customers, with one visitor, Mr Sean Gunning, proudly announcing:
"Most enjoyable time, everyone was most helpful, and I learned many new things!"
